Amherst, MA Apartments
Amherst is located in western Massachusetts and is home to a couple popular univeristies including Amherst College, and th University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Despite Umass Amherst having a reputation for partying and fun, it's regorous academics and connection with first rate employers prove that a public education can be worth more than it's priced.
Students that Attend Umass Amherst often leave the area during summer months due to a lack of events and entertainment in the area. During the School year, students have the option to live on or off campus, and apartment prices are fairly low considering the large demand in the area.
Subway Access
Unlike most areas of Massachusetts that are discussed on this website, Amherst students don't have the luxury of a public subway system. Students must rely on public bus systems and busses/shuttles that their school provide.

Students in Amherst have numerous options in terms of living. They can live on or off campus, and if they choose off campus they can live downtown or closer to their university. Off campus apartments generally run about $700-1100 for a 2 bedroom, 1300-1500 for a 3 bedroom and 1600-2000 for a 4 bedroom.
