Finding Apartments
Finding an apartment in the area can be a challenge due to the high prices in the immediate area and the consistently high demand for apartments from all of the university students in the area. More often then not Berklee and Northeastern students will have signed lease agreements early in the year to be ready for the school year. For example, although students generally move to Boston on September 1st to prepare for the starting semester, they've often secured a place by April or May earlier that year. The reason of course being that good places for low rent are hard to find.
If it's last minute there are good deals to be found, especially in situations where students decide to back out of their lease and not attend school for the semester. This situation isn't rare, but it's also tricky to come across because usually other desperate students take their places as quickly as possible. Needless to say, be sure to rent as early as possible in the season.
