Brighton Apartments

Allston and Brighton are the two towns that ultimately make Boston a "college city". Allston is immediately next to Brighton and Brookline and has probably the highest density of apartments in the Boston area. Harvard and Comm Ave is the center of the fun with bars, clubs, shops, tattoo parlors, liquor stores, restaurants, and costume stores all clustered within a 4 block radius. The reason it's so great among college students in particular is it's a good centralized location for Boston College, Boston University, Emerson College, and Harvard University students.

Brighton isn't short on pizza joints and sub shops. In the area you'll find:

Unos Pizzeria (Chicago Deep Dish Style)
City Pizza
Tedeskis Food Shops (Candy and Quick Eats)
Upper Crust
UBurger - Burgers & Hotdogs (and amazing french fries)
Big City Convenience
Paradise Lounge
Big City Bar & Lounge

Subway Access

Next, the Green Line Subway runs directly through the center of Brighton, as well as Allston. With Fenway Park only a few stops away, catching a game is as easy as grabbing a slice of pizza, and for you poor students, bleacher seats run as low as $25-30 a piece.

Rent's in Brighton is comparable to Allston, and generally run from $1000-1600 for a 1BR, and $1400-2000 for a 2BR.

Colleges & Universities

Brighton is also home to the notorious Boston University or "BU". Boston Univeristy has several subway stops named after the college itself and are identified simply as "Boston University East", "Boston University West", and "Boston University Central". The College has more than 31,000 students, 17,000 of which are full time undergraduates. BU additionally offers graduate programs in Law, Business, and Medical Services, all of which are valued degrees across the globe.

Boston University is the only large private school located in Brighton.
