Fenway ApartmentsFenway park is home to Bostons beloved Red Sox and many bostonians that have a passion for baseball. Fenway is located immediately outside of Boston next to Kenmore Square, which offers numerous restaurants, bars, and grants access to Boston University and the subway or 'T' which will take people to any location in the city. Walking to Bostons hottest clubs and bars is only minutes away, and Newbury street is only a 20 minute walk which is perfect during a cool summer evening. The 'Fenway' Area is also known as the 'Fenmore' which is a play on words between Fenway and Kenmore Square. Fenway is a desirable place to live due to its historic reputation and the large number of amenities available to renters. While home prices are very pricy in the area, rents are generally fairly low considering it's proximity to Back Bay and Downtown Boston. Colleges & Universities Nearby Boston University is only steps away from Fenway Park. Also nearby you'll find Gibbs, Kaplan, and Wheelock. Other schools are accessible by subway, but are not within immediate walking distance. For Boston University student, renting off campus in Fenway is a rewarding experience and grants a level of independence that's not available being on campus. Students will get a more full experience of living in the city and will be able to purchase groceries off campus and won't be limited to meal plan options. Renting in Fenway For first time renters, we always suggest bunking up with one or two other roommates. Not only will you save money per student by renting a one or two bedroom, but you'll have people to relate to as you adjust to living independantly in the city. Also, you'll have someone to help you during times that you're out late, lock yourself out, and need help navigating the city. It's always a good idea to have friends on hand that can help you out some way or another in the city. Rent in the Fenway area usually runs around $900-1,000 for a studio, $1200-1500 for a 1 bedroom, and $1,700-2,400 for a two bedroom. Prices for larger bedrooms increase at a decreasing rate usually since more rents are collected overall and landlords like to offer incentive for bigger groups to move in.
