Financial District ApartmentsBostons financial district is found downtown near government center and chinatown. It's located very close to the heart of the subway station, which is found at south station and downtown crossing. The financial district is home to many headquarters of mutual fund, banks, and insurance companies. To name a few, Fidelity Investments, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Boston Stock Exchange, Sovereign Bank, and Merrill Lynch can be found downtown. Colleges & Universities Suffolk University and Emerson College are the two most popular colleges nearby. Also nearby you'll find the New Endland Aquarium, the Childrens Museum, and Boston City Hall. A popular shopping plaza, called Fanuel Hall is within a 10 minute walk of Financial District. Here you'll find shops, restaurants, bars, and fun places for dates & socializing. Subway Access The Financial District has numerous subways stations. State Street Station being the most local, you'll also find other surrounding stops such as Downtown Crossing (Red Line), Park Street(Red, Green, Orange Lines) and Government Center (Blue Line). The majority of business people that live outside of the city will take advantage of low cost parking outside of the city and commute in taking the subway. Subway pass costs are minimal compared to parking. A monthly subway pass will cost only $60, where a monthly parking space will cost up to $350 per month in the financial district region. Individual trips cost $2.00, so it's highly suggested to purchase a monthly pass to save a lot of money. Apartment Rentals Apartment prices in the financial district are among the highest in New England. Here you'll find 1 Bedrooms for up to $5,000 per month for waterfront units, and closer to $2,000-3,000 for average units. Many properties in the area offer underground garage parking, on site fitness centers, and some even have indoor pools and private movie theaters. Most often, individuals that live in these areas relocate for work, work internationally, or have chosen to rent as opposed to purchase property for one of many possible reasons. Popular areas to live near the financial district are Beacon Hill, Newbury Street, the North End, and of course on the waterfront. These areas offer a large variety of entertainment, have the largest variety of high class restaurants, and have the most spectacular views and landscapes of the Boston Metro region.
