Quincy Apartments
Quincy is a large suburban town located south of Boston. Quincy has numerous popular areas including Quincy Center, Quincy Adams, North Quincy, and Wollaston Beach. Renters living in Quincy benefit from a large variety of amenities including ease of access to the city without the city setting, low cost rent, more parking, and a large number of apartment communities in the area. Quincy is also located next to Milton which has some of the highest property values in the state, and Wollaston Beach is on the shores of Quincy which is one of the few public access beaches near Boston asside from Revere Beach on the north shore.
Nearby Colleges & Universities
Quincy is home to Quincy College, which is a small College that offers undergraduate and continuing education courses to day and night students. Quincy is also only slightly south of Umass Boston which is located in Dorchester on the Red Line.
Many students that live in Quincy attend class at Umass Boston since it's less expensive to live than in Boston, and the commute is only 20-30 minutes. From the Umass Boston subway station, students are offered a bus line that runs directly from the station to the front doors of Umass Boston.
Subway Access
Quincy is located on the Braintree Red Line and has approximately 4 subway stops through-out. The Red line runs directly from Quincy up through Boston and then continues to Cambridge, so renters have the luxury of a 30 minute commute to Boston or a 45 minute commute to Cambridge.
Subway fares are $2 each, or monthly passes are available for $60 per month. We always suggest purchasing a monthly pass since it saves money in the long run, and it's safer to carry a subway pass around Boston than a wad of cash that can easily be lost or stolen.
