Wheelock University Apartments
Wheelock is a very small private college in the Fenway area of Boston. Wheelock focusses on education through a multidiscipinary approach. The undergraduate student body is only about 400 students and the student to faculty radio is very low, only 10 to 1. According to statistics provided by the school, about 68% of students live on campus. This means, about 30% of undergraduates at Wheelock need to renew an apartment lease each year which not only provides opportunities for you to find fellow roommates, but also to experience living in different areas of Boston while attending school.
Generally after students 2nd year they move off campus to multiple bedroom apartments with other friends and students in the area. Usually renting a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment reduces the price of rent per head. This is also beneficial because living with friends in the city is safer and more enjoyable with friends.

Boston is known as a college city for a reason. Within the five square miles of Bostons metro areas, there are nearly 50 colleges and universities. Students not only benefit from the education that their own school provides, but also learn different perspectives on their subjects through friends attending different schools. Other schools near Wheelock are Northeastern University, Wentworth, Simmons, Emmanuel, and Boston University.
Subway Access
The subway or 'T' is very close to Wheelock, within a ten minute walk to two different subway lines and thus two different options to travel to different areas of the city. Students that take the subway as opposed to having a car benefit in so many ways. While it's great having the freedom a car allows, it also comes with parking hassles, parking tickets, maintenance costs, rush hour traffic, and high insurance costs in Massachusetts. Having a car can be considered cool, but overall few students have their own car so students that have one will stand out.

Apartment prices near Wheelock run about $900-1200 for a studio, $1300-1600 for a one bedroom, and $1600-2400 for a two bedroom. Larger apartments (3-5 bedrooms) are numerous, but prices vary greatly according to apartment size, building, and proximity to the subway and grocery stores.
