Berklee School of Music Apartments

Berklee School of Music is located in Boston nessled between Symphony and Back Bay area. It can be found off Boyleston street about 10 minutes from the Prudencial Center, 5 minutes from Northeastern University, and less than a 2 minute walk to the Green Line subway system. More specifically, you'll find it closest to the Hynes Convention Center T-stop which is mostly connected to Kenmore and Copley, both of which are very popular areas of Boston.

Berklee's excellent location in the city allows for numerous opportunities to find great rentals. Apartments can be found in more affordable areas for students such as Mission Hill, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Allston, and Brighton. Currently, rents immediately nearby range from $1400-1800 a month, but apartments as close as 20 minutes away can be substantially less, as low as $1000-1200.

Get a Roomate or Three

We nearly always suggest choosing at least one roomate to live with since it cuts rent in half. As you have more roomates you lose privacy, but you save considerable amounts of money. Having roomates also tends to limit your risk with landlord issues since landlords and property managers are more responsive. You'll have people to explore the city with, hang out with, and best of all study all that music with! Let the Jam Session begin!

Things to ask when looking for a place:

1. What will utilities cost?
2. How far is the subway or bus from the apartment?
3. Who else lives in the building? Students? Older people that prefer quiet after 9pm?
4. Is parking included? (if you have a car)
5. What deposits are required up front? First? Last? Save Deposit?
