Roslindale is a residential neighborhood located south of Boston near Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, and West Roxbury. Although not a part of Boston (annexed in late 1800's) it's still widely considered to be part of Roxbury which is part of Boston. It's located very far outside the city, about a 20 minute drive into downtown Boston, or a 40 minute commute on the subway train.

Subway Access

Roslindale is on the Orange Line on the subway rail. Commuters that live in Roslindale and commute into the city benefit from low cost housing, and cheap or free parking.

Apartment Rates & Pricing

Rents in the Roslindate area are very low relative to other areas of the city including Dorchester and Roxbury. Although few studios area available in Roslindale (there's a larger abundance on 1 bedrooms) they typically rent for $600-800 per month. One bedrooms will rent for $800-1200, and two bedrooms are in the $1100-1500 range.
